For those of you who have not been paying attention during class, here is the various information about the exams.
English paper 1:
- given 1 letter to write, either formal or informal
- not given opportunity to choose, so mug both
- given 5 choices of essay topics (with descriptive, narrative, expo...)
- chose only ONE
Chinese paper 1:
- given 2 scenerios where you decide if it is a formal or informal letter
- pick the one that you are more confient with
- given an essay to write as well (not too sure on this component as everyone knows how attentive i am in chinese lesson)
English paper 2:
- full comprehension inclusive of summary
chinese paper 2:
- 2 comprehension MCQ (i think)
- 2 comprehension open ended ( ithink)
- 1 comprehension cloze passage
math paper 1:
- no calculators allowed
math paper 2:
- calculators are encouraged
Literature:
- 1 unseen prose/ poetry
- 2 essay type questions on MOV book
- pick ONE.
history:
- similiar to past year exam papers given
geography:
- 15 mcq questions
- the rest is similiar to previous terms' exam papers i think
Life science:
- similiar to previous terms
Psci
- similiar to previous terms
- hint was given that "irregular reflection" diagram would come out!
tips:
- when studying lit, i recomment that you focus on about 15-25 quotes that you believe could be used on multiple occasions on most situations, and just memorise those. No point in studying like 45 quotes that focus on one question that you have spotted, and if the question dun come out the n you are gg.
- try not to pick the expo essay for english unless you are confident that you know sufficient info about the topic, and are capable of backing it up with knowledgeable backgrpund info or quotations
- dun focus so much on one subject that you neglect the rest
